PURPOSE:To automate electric detection of an extent of slanting of a corotron wire, by detecting it through current of a corotron shield. CONSTITUTION:Current flowing from a corotron wire 21 to a shield 22 is detected with a shield current detector 40, and voltage proportional to the slant extent of the wire 21 corresponding to the detected current is applied to a window comparator 50. When this voltage exceeds an allowable range, a transistor Tr is turned on through the comparator 50 to light an alarm LED60. The slant extent of the corotron wire is thus automatically electrically detected, and occurrence of abnormal copies, damages of a photosensitive drum, etc. are prevented. |
