摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve explosion-proof of a cathode-ray tube main body by fastening force of a fastening material having no looseness of a connecting part by fastening and fixing in the surroundings of a cathode-ray tube main body by temperature change a ring-shaped fastening material comprising a shape memorizing alloy. CONSTITUTION:A ring-shaped fastening material 8 consists of a shape memorizing alloy having a transformation temperature of -150 deg.C, and machined to a desired shape fitting to the surroundings 1d of a panel and converted to a martensite phase at a temperature of less than -150 deg.C. In the material state of the martensite phase, the dimension of the fastening material 8 is enlarged so that the dimension of the fastening material 8 becomes larger than that of the fastening material installing part, that is, that of the surroundings 1d of the panel. When this fastening material is placed in an atmosphere of room temperature, the material returns from martensite phase to austenite phase and automatically decrease its dimension by remenbering the original shape. As a result, the fastening material 8 is fixed in the surroundings 1d of the panel.
