Compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is lower alkyl substituted by hydroxyl or protected hydroxyl, R2 denotes carboxyl or a functionally modified carboxyl, R0 is azacycloalkyl or a group of the formula -Y-N(R3,R4), in which R3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or acyl and Y is lower alkylene, lower alkylene substituted by phenyl or a radical of the formula -CR5R6- in which R5 represents an organic radical bonded via a carbon atom or, together with R3, lower alkylene optionally substituted by oxo or hydroxyl, and R6 denotes hydrogen or lower alkyl, the pure optical isomers of compounds of the formula (I) and mixtures of these optical isomers, and salts of such compounds have antibiotic properties. The compounds can be prepared by processes known per se. |
