PURPOSE:To provide a silver oxide battery having a large discharge capacity and low internal resistance by removing an unnecessary conductive mass in a positive mix and filling an extraactive mass in the volume on the removed conductive mass. CONSTITUTION:A mix prepared by mixing silver oxide and a binder is compressed to form a positive pellet 1 having a rough surface on its one side which faces a negative electrode (a). A mold is preferably used to form a rough surface on the pellet. Conductive mass powder is attached on the rough surface of the pellet (b). This pellet is put into a positive container 4 and is compressed to make to adhere to the container 4. By this process, since a conductive layer is formed on the surface, which faces the negative electrode, of the positive electrode, internal resistance of a battery is decreased. |
