The penetration pipe (6) through the wall (1) of a nuclear installation containment building is sealed in a primary seal to a sheet/plate/header (7). The sheet/plate/header (7) is bored for the extension of a mineral insulated electrical instrument line, or cable (5), therethrough. The sheath (18) of the cable (5) is weld-sealed to the sheet/plate/header with the same integrity as the primary seal.
