The extrusion press comprises a frame on which a die is secured by means of a holder, a centring plate and a centring frame. A punch is secured by its stem in a second holder. The die (33) with holder (30), plate (23) and centring frame (27) is mounted on a baseplate (15) interchangeably secured to the main frame (1). The baseplate can work in guides in the main frame, and can be clamped to it by the centring plate.
