<p>This invention relates to an aqueous autodepositing coating composition for coating ferrous surfaces comprising resin, persulfate ion and, optionally, fluoride. The composition is effective in coating said ferrous surfaces by autodeposition at a pH of from about 4 to about 8.5. Also encompassed by the present invention is a method for autodepositing coating on ferrous surfaces comprising immersing the surfaces in the above composition.</p> |
