<p>PURPOSE:To continuously and efficiently treat exhaust gas containing an organohalogen compound, by treating the exhaust gas containing the organohalogen compound with ultraviolet rays before treating the same with alkali. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas 1 containing an organohalogen compound such as trichloroethylene is introduced into an ultraviolet irradiation treatment apparatus 3 constituted of an internal irradiation type low pressure mercury lamp by a blower 2 to receive irradiation treatment of ultraviolet rays. Subsequently, the generated acidic decomposed gas such as HCl is introduced into an alkali washing apparatus 5 and receives the addition of an alkali agent 6 to be made innoxious. Treatment is performed in the alkali washing apparatus in such a state that pH is held to 8-10.</p> |
