PURPOSE:To detect a magnetic signal with high accuracy, by providing a front gap being at right angles to the relative torsion displacement direction, on a magnetic core, and twisting spirally the magnetic core so that it is not opposed in this front gap part. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 31 has a front gap 32 being at right angles to the relative torsion displacement direction of the first lower column shaft 3 and the second lower column shaft 5. Also, the magnetic core 31 is twisted almost spirally so that the magnetic core 31 is not opposed in this front gap part. That is to say, the tip part of the magnetic core 31 forms a line in the right angle direction against the relative torsion displacement direction through the front gap 32. According to such a constitution, a magnetic sensor can always detect a magnetic signal of a magnetic material 12 with high accuracy. |
