PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, high-reliability parallel thyristors group, by connecting pulse amplifiers in corresponding to the thyristors in 1:2 proportion. CONSTITUTION:A three-phase thyristor converter consists of SCRs 11-13 and 41-43 for an U phase, SCRs 31-33 and 61-63 for a V phase, and SCRs 51-53 and 22-24 for a W phase, and the respective SCRs are supplied with gate signals through connection lines from pulse amplifies 14-16, 24-26, 34-36, 44-46, 54-56, and 64-66 and a pulse transformer PT. Each pulse amplifier inputs a specific gate command from an automatic pulse phase shifter 5. Each SCR inputs signals from two pulse amplifiers and even if one pulse amplifier breaks down, each SCR is supplied with the specific gate signal to improve the reliability of the device greatly. |
