A cartridge case 2 of thermoplastics material e.g. polystyrene for use in storing and firing signal ammunition has a seal at its mouth 3 to prevent ingress of moisture. The seal comprises aluminium foil 6 with an adhesive layer and is bonded to the case 2 by the action of temperature and pressure. Uniform distribution of the pressure exerted upon detonation is ensured by providing upon a shoulder 4 of the case a disc 5 of cardboard or aluminium. <IMAGE> |
