PURPOSE:To use both going and returning motions of a rack by taking out one- way rotation through a one-way clutch for operating a pair of gears engaged with the rack in the opposite direction to each other. CONSTITUTION:Gears 3, 5 are rotated for a going motion of a rack 4, the rotation is transmitted to a driving shaft 1 through a one-way clutch cam 11 by an inner race 2. Meanwhile, the gear 5 runs idle because a clutch cam 9 does not transmit power. The clutch 11 does not transmit power for the returning motion of the rack 4, so that the gear 3 runs idle. The clutch cam 9 transmits power this time, so that the rotation of the gear 5 is transmitted to a bevel gear 6. The rotation of the bevel gear 5 is transmitted to a bevel gear 6. The rotation of the bevel gear 6 is transmitted from a bevel gear 8 to a bevel gear 7, which is converted into the rotation of the opposite direction to be transmitted to a power transmitting shaft 1. Accordingly, the power transmitting shaft is rotated in the same direction by the either going and returning motions of the clutch 4. |
