PURPOSE:To prevent the crystal growth of a sublimable material in molding and to improve the flexural strength, etc., of the sintered body by incorporating a specified org. binder into the ceramic material contg. the sublimable material for injection molding. CONSTITUTION:(A) A ceramic powder (e.g. silicon nitride powder), (B) a sublimable material (e.g. anthracene) and (C) an org. binder (e.g. high-m.p. ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and PP) having an m.p. higher than the deposition temp. where the component B is transformed to solid from gas or liq. are mixed to produce a ceramic composition for injection molding. The composition is supplied to an injection molding machine, heated, fluidized, injected into a metallic mold and solidified to obtain the molded body. In this case, when the sublimable material is cooled in the mold and deposited as solid, the org. binder has already been deposited, and hence the crystal growth of the sublimable material is suppressed. Accordingly, bores and microcracks are not generated in the sintered body. |
