<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink containing an azo dye in which H in the hydroxyl group is substituted with a specified group, which does not cause clogging of nozzles and is excellent in recording property, ejection stability, response to ejection, color tone, etc. CONSTITUTION:The ink contains (A) about 0.5-20wt% at least one dye selected from among azo, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine, pyrazolone, fluorescein and triphenylmethane dyes in which the hydrogen atom of the hydroxyl group is substituted with a group of formula I (where n is 1-18), e.g. azo dye of formula II, (B) about 0.1-40wt% wetting agent (e.g. polyethylene glycol), (C) additives e.g. preservative, mildewproofing agent, pH modifier, etc. and (D) solvent (e.g. water and/or 1-4C alcohol).</p> |
