PURPOSE:To effect the securing of the fin and a pipe as well as the rust proof treatment of the whole of the heat exchanger surely without increasing the number of process by a method wherein electro-deposit painting is applied on the heat exchanger consisting of the pipe and the fin members wound continuously around the surface of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:One end of the fin member 2 is welded on the pipe 1, at first, and thereafter the fin member 2 or the pipe 1 is revolved to wind the fin member 2 around the outside of the pipe of a given length, then, the end terminal of the fin member 2 is welded temporarily to the pipe 1 to secure the pipe 1 and the fin member 2. Subsequently, the pipe 1, wound by the fin member 2, is dipped into an electro-deposit tank, filled with a soluble paint, a D.C. voltage is impressed thereto and the particles of the paint are agglomerated and separated out on the whole surfaces of the fins 3 and the pipe 1 to make the film of coating. |
