PURPOSE:To provide the titled system which performs automatic detection and correction of the amount of printing position deviation, wherein a reference signal detecting slit is provided in a slit disk, and the amount of overshoot of the rotation of the slit disk with respect to the backlash of a carriage can be measured. CONSTITUTION:A reference slit 13, which indicates a reference position, is provided in a slit disk 6'. A carriage 2 is moved from a home position at the left end to the right. A printing timing signal T1 from the time reference slit signal (e) is detected to the time a signal (d) becomes a low level is counted. Then the carriage 2 is moved to the left. A printing timing signal T2 from the time the signal (d) becomes a high level to the time the signal (e) is detected is counted. The period (T1-T2) corresponds to the number of the printing timing signal. During this period, the slit disk is uselessly rotated because of backlash. This number is used for correcting printing position deviation. |
