<p>PURPOSE: To continuously perform processings and to make plural computer systems share a peripheral device by making a printer store the state of being connected to a computer last again every time the respective computers perform access. CONSTITUTION: A switch 116 provided in this switching system is connected to the respective computer systems 102 and 108 and also connected to a peripheral device 106 to be shared. Since a first system 102 is considered as the main user of the peripheral device 106, when a second system 108 requests the access to the peripheral device 106, the switch 116 lets the second system 108 use the device and makes the peripheral device 106 tentatively preserve the state simultaneously. When use by the second system 108 is ended, the switch 116 makes the peripheral device 106 store a final state set by the first system 102 again for the state.</p> |
