摘要 PURPOSE:To detect the approach angle of a car with satisfactory accuracy regardless of the approaching direction of the car, by setting copying sensors in parallel to each other with a prescribed space between them and adding another sensor at the front oblique position of both of above-mentioned copying sensors. CONSTITUTION:The approach angle of a car is detected by setting copying sensors in parallel to each other with a prescribed space between them and providing another sensor added at the front oblique position of both copying sensors. That is, a detection signal is transmitted to a controller 9 from an optical sensor S1 when a car approaches obliquely with angle theta to a boundary of traveling areas of the car. A counter 13 is started by a pulse signal delivered from a distance sensor 5. Then the counter 13 is stopped by an optical sensor S2 when the car approaches further. The traveled distance (x) of the car is calculated from the count value of the counter 13 counted hitherto and the unit traveled distance. Then the approach angle theta is detected from the distance (x) as well as the attachment space and angle between both sensors. A hydraulic cylinder 6 is driven via a buffer 15 and a solenoid valve 14 so as to obtain a steering degree corresponding to the angle theta.
