METHOD AND KIT FOR DETECTING CANDIDASIS

PURPOSE:To provide a method and a kit for rapidly and simply detecting candidasis. CONSTITUTION:A specimen for detecting candidasis is treated with glucoseoxidase and subsequently with aldohexose dehydrogenase in the presence of NAD(P)<+>. The amount of the produced NAD(P)H is measured and compared with a normal value. At least the glucoseoxidase and the aldohexose dehydrogenase are added to a kit for detecting the candidasis. The amount of the NAD(P)H is determined by the measurement of the absorbancy directly or after changed into any other substance. An urine specimen and an automatic analyzer can be employed as the specimen and the analyzer, respectively, thereby permitting to treat many specimens at a low cost within a short time.
