OUTER CONTINUOUS POROUS SUPPORTS FOR POSITIVE LEAD-ACID ACCUMULATOR PLATES

A continuous outer porous support is provided for preventing the paste of a lead-acid accumulator plate from settling and for controlling side expansion of the metal frame of the plate so as to prolong the life of the accumulator. The support is made of thermo-shrinkable antiacid synthetic material and is closed on three sides but has an open side for insertion of the accumulator plate. The support is formed of two series of texture yarns which are mutually perpendicular with one parallel to the open side. The closed sides are formed during the weaving.
