PURPOSE:To perform the most effective compensation of a color channel in accordance with the color tone of an object, by comparing the outputs of two channels out of a red, green, blue channels which are performed by white balancing, and by providing with a color reproducibility compensating circuit which increases a larger channel output or decreases a smaller channel output. CONSTITUTION:After adjusting the white balance of an R, a G and B signals, if a red (R) color tone signal having especially larger color tone with respect to the G signal is inputted as two channel signals to be objects, a color compensating circuit 9 detects the outputs of output terminals 10 and 11 as a color difference signal (R-G) when the output level of an R signal amplifier 6 and a G signal amplifier 7 become R-G>0 and enlarges an amplification rate by positive feed back to the amplifier 6 so that an increased output R' is obtained at the output terminal 10. Therefore, the area of a delta part which is formed by overlapping on each other at the skirt part of the G and R signals becomes smaller. If the green (G) color tone signal having especially larger color tone with respect to the R signal to be object is inputted, the same result can be obtained. |
