PURPOSE:To obtain a copy print without lowering largely its resolution, by selecting a density matrix pattern being equal to the density of one of picture elements of an original picture out of density matrix pattern groups, and taking out an element of a matrix corresponding to a picture element out of the density matrix pattern in order to record the information on a point on a recording paper corresponding to the picture element of the original picture. CONSTITUTION:By changing a dot size, dot number and dot arrangement in a (mXn) dot matrix (Tm,n), dot matrix patterns having different density are formed. When a gradation density being a picture element of an original picture of a coordinate I(r,s) is (d), a density matrix pattern having a gradation near to the density (d) is selected out of density matrix pattern groups. In order to correspond the one picture element of the original picture to an element of the (mXn) matrix, the original picture is divided for every (mXn) picture elements, and it is checked which element of the (mXn) matrix corresponds to the picture element I point, and the information of the element is printed on a recording paper. Namely, a matrix element (Ti,j)d is selected out of matrix elements of ''Tm,n''d, and it is recorded as a picture element information (Pd)r,s at a point P(r,s) on the recording paper which has the same coordinate (r,s) on the original picture on the recording paper. As a result, a signal processing circuit becomes simpler, and the amount of information to be processed becomes less in comparison with a system where a picture information is converted to a dot size as it is. |
