PURPOSE:To improve the recording stability while extending the recording interval by forming a material which is large in the contact angle when ink contacts a upper plate while the sum of the slit width and the end thickness of the lower plate is set at the specified value. CONSTITUTION:When material large in the ink contact angle including teflon is used for an upper plate 2a, ink 8 is not allowed to creep up to the upper plate 2a. The ink meniscus width 11 is almost equivalent to the slit width 9 plus the end thickness 10 of the lower plate, a specified value, for example less than about 250mum. Therefore, the ink meniscus width 11 can be below 250mum, for instance, enabling the expansion of the recording interval with a higher ink static pressure. The electrode 3 is set at 8 pieces/mm. in the electrode density. The ink used is an oil ink corresponding to teflon quality with the surface tension of 18 dyne/cm or more and the viscosity 2-30cp. |
