PURPOSE:To prevent possible flaws with a shorter conveying path for non-number printig by conveying paper via first and second transfer cylinders from the first printing unit at the non-number printing not passing through a coneying path via a number printing cylinder of the second printing unit. CONSTITUTION:A printing press is composed the ordinary first printing unit 1 compising a plate cylinder 3, a rubber cylinder 4, an impession cylinder 5 and the like and the second printing unit 2 comprising a number printing cylinder 12, a delivery cylinder 14, first and second transfer cylinders 11 and 13 and the like. The cylinders 11-14 of the second unit are arranged at respective intersection of a square and the conveying path of a print paper 10 is switched between the number printing and the non-number printing operations. In the number printing operation, the paper 10 is conveyed to the number printing cylinder 12 via the first transfer cylinder 11 from the impression cylinder 5 while in the non-number printing operation, it direct to a delivery apparatus 18 via 13 from the transfer cylinder 11. This can prevent possible scratch as caused in the non-number printing operation of passing through the number printing cylinder. |
