PURPOSE:To eliminate difficulty of proper control when a motive conductive coil is used, by supporting a load of a flywheel in its thrust direction through a magnetic bearing consisting of the motive conductive coil and a normal conductive coil. CONSTITUTION:A motive conductive coil 9 is concentrically wound with a flywheel 2 to an upper surface opposite to the flywheel 2 in a housing 1, while a normal conductive coil 10 is concentrically wound with the flywheel 2 to a surface of the housing 1 opposite to a bottom face of the flywheel 2. Accordingly, liquid helium is supplied to the coil 9 to be cooled and an electric current is applied to flow in the coil 10, and then if a DC current is applied to the coil 9, attractive magnetic force corresponding to a sum of weight of the flywheel 2 and attractive magnetic force of the coil 10 is generated in the coil 9, and the flywheel 2 is lifted to a fixed position and operated by action of a position detector 11 and a control circuit 13. |
