<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a precursor yarn for acrylic carbon fiber having a little (pseudo) fusion among single yarns, by spinning an acrylic polymer solution, drawing it, providing the yarn having degree of swelling in a specific range with a water-soluble silicone-based oil. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic polymer containing >=92wt% acrylonitrile is dissolved in a solvent such as dimethyl sulfoxide, ect., the solution is supn through a spinneret, etc., drawn in boiling water, to give an acrylic yarn swelled with water. The swelled yarn having 150-230%, preferably 170-210% degree of swelling shown by the formula is uniformly provided with a water-soluble silicone-based oil by a vibrorunner, etc., passed on a hot cylindee roller so that it is dried and subjected to density formation, to give the desired precursor yarn for carbon fiber.</p> |
