PURPOSE:To ensure the continuous copying despite of the generation of an error, by controlling a fixing heater with a timer when an input error is generated from a temperature-sensitive element. CONSTITUTION:A wired OR is secured between a transistor TRQ7 and TRQ2 to a solid state relay Q3, and an output port OP2 of a microcomputer Q6 is connected to the base of the TRQ7. When the computer Q6 detects a disconnection of a thermistor TH1 with the input signal of an input port IP1, the signal of H level is intermittently delivered to the port OP2. Thus the TRQ7 is turned on and off to control the relay Q3, and a power supply is applied intermittnetly to a fixing heater H1. Therefore the insufficient fixing and the overheat can be eliminated by selecting a prescribed period for application of power supply to the heater H1. This makes it possible to carry out a copying action in safety although an error arises to the discriminating element for control to the heater H1. |
