PURPOSE:To eliminate the shaving or peeling of a green sheet on and after the next process by cutting the green sheet by vertically moving both blades each having an inverted circular arc cross-sectional shape protruding at the center thereof to form the cut surface of the green sheet into a circular arc shape having no edge. CONSTITUTION:Both upper and lower blades 6, 6 of a cutter have leading end edges 7 each formed into an inverted circular arc shape protruding at the center thereof and are pressurized from above and below to cut a green sheet 8. Therefore, the cut surface 9 of the green sheet 8 becomes a circular arc shape. As a result, the shaving or peeling due to the contact with other matter in the process on and after the cutting process is not generated and the layer of the green sheet is not exposed. When a plurality of the green sheets are cut in a stacked state, no edge is generated in the same way and, even when the green sheets are sintered to form a multilayered substrate, the circular arc shape having no edge is held and the breakage, shaving or cracking due to a shock becomes hard to generate. Therefore, the disconnection of an electric circuit can be prevented and the reliability of the ceramic substrate can be enhanced. |
