PRODUCTION OF WATER-BASE POLYURETHANE RESIN DISPERSION

PURPOSE:To prepare a fine and stable water-base polyurethane resin dispersion having a narrow particle diameter distribution using an emulsifier in a lower amt. than those conventionally used by emulsifying a preemulsified mixture of water and a polyurethane resin under specified conditions on a specific apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A preemulsified mixture of water and a polyurethane resin is emulsified on an apparatus wherein the mixture is introduced under pressure into a channel of a chamber (Fig. 1) where the mixture is caused to collide with plane surfaces 5, 6 under a high pressure or where the collision within the mixture is caused under a high pressure.
