A wire-reinforced paper product used for producing corrugated board comprising a plurality of longitudinal separate parallel metal wires arranged between first and second paper sheets, which paper sheets are bound by adhesion to each other along their matching surfaces, the first paper sheet comprising a plurality of separate parallel channels shaped in their matching surfaces, which channels have a depth which is less than the thickness of the first paper sheet, the longitudinal metal wires being situated in these channels, and the depth of the channels corresponding to the height of the longitudinal wires arranged therein, and the width of the channels corresponding to the total thickness of the wires arranged therein, as a result of which the wires are secured in the channels so that exposure of the wires during cutting of the reinforced paper product is prevented. <IMAGE> |
