PURPOSE:To develope the capacity of uniform temperature heating and cooling sufficiently in the whole area of a heat pipe by a method wherein the heat pipe is constituted so as to be equipped with a heat medium flowing tube retaining means, energizing the substantially whole lengthwise area of the heat medium flowing tube so as to contact it closely with the surface of a wick. CONSTITUTION:A heat pipe 3 is constituted of a sealed vessel 6, the small amount of operating medium 7, sealed in the sealed vessel, a wick 8, attached to the inner peripheral surface of the sealed vessel 6, a heat medium flowing tube 4, penetrating through the top of the sealed vessel 6 and arranged in the vessel 6, and a metallic spring member 9 or a heat medium flowing tube suppressing means, energizing the heat medium flowing tube 4 to suppress it so as to be contacted closely to the wick 8. For this purpose, the U-shape heat medium flowing tube 4, inserted into and arranged in the sealed vessel 6 of the heat pipe 3, is pushed against the wick 8 by the spring member 9 at the part 43 of a sending tube and the part 44 of a returning tube, accordingly, irregularities in the working size of the heat medium flowing tube and the thickness of the wick are compensated and the heat medium flowing tube 4 is contacted surely with the inner surface of the wick 8 at the tubular sections 43, 44 thereof. |
