PURPOSE:To eliminate the shading distortion of picture signal coming out from an original reading element, by giving the read scanning for producing a shading distortion compensation signal to the original reading element and storing the compensation signal in a memory circuit. CONSTITUTION:The communication of the control signal with an opposite side is made through an MODEM circuit 26 and an original 20 is transferred one line by one line by operating a motor driving circuit 26 again after the communication is completed and, synchronously, the read scanning of a reading element 19 is performed. By such read scanning, picture signal corresponding to the original is delivered by one line from the reading element 19, but, at this time, a control circuit 22 performs the readout of compensation signal from a memory circuit 23 synchronously to the read scanning of each line. Then, the picture signal and compensation signal are introduced to a shading distortion compensation and binary coding circuit 24, and the picture signal of each line is binary coded. The binary coded picture signal is delivered one by one line at a prescribed speed to the circuit by the MODEM circuit 26 after it is temporarily stored in a buffer memory circuit 25. |
