PURPOSE:To stabilize the use under a high electric field by flowing high temperature fluid higher than the air temperature in the environments in a hollow insulating post when connecting a plurality of modules containing electric parts via an insulating posts and forming a high voltage device. CONSTITUTION:Modules 1-3 which contain electric parts such as a semiconductor element, a resistor, a condenser, a reactor and the like, are insulated and supported by posts 11-16 of glass fiber-reinforced plastic to form a high voltage device. The posts 11-16 are formed in hollow shape, and fluid such as high temperature air higher than the temperature of environmental air is circulated via air feed tubes 21-24, fluid heater 31 and a pump 32. Accordingly, the relative humidity at the surface of the posts 11-16 is maintained always lower than the relative humidity of the environmental air, thereby allowing the creeping electric field intensity of the posts 11-16 to be high, thereby enabling to reduce the size of the device and to stabilize the use under a high electric field. |
