PURPOSE:To improve working efficiency and operating efficiency by changing and moving the roll calibers of a rolling mill exactly in conformity with the inlet and outlet guides for the rolling mill by moving only the body side of the rolling mill without changing the positions of a rolling pass line and said guides. CONSTITUTION:Rest bars 1, 1' for mounting the inlet and outlet guides 7, 7' for the rolling mill fixed with said guides in conformity with a rolling pass line on the inlet and outlet sides of rolling mill rolls 3 installed to the body 2 of the rolling mill stand provided with roll calibers 3a for rolling in plural rows are engaged and supported slidably by means of guide brackets 4, 5 for rest bars mounted on the side face of the body 2. The bars 1, 1' are fixed in the positions at a right angle to the rolling pass line by means of a rod 13 for positioning and fixing the rest bars, and body 2 is made freely movable together with the rolls 3 by means of a power cylinder or screw driving device 12 for moving, whereby the calibers 3a are made changeable. |
