PURPOSE:To obtain a thin, strong and uniform covering by making an abrasive which includes graphite fluoride covered with a polymer, where the surface is graft-bound with vinyl resin. CONSTITUTION:Graphite fluoride covered with a vinyl polymer (graphite fluoride in the form of micro-capsules) is at least mixed with abrasive grain and binder and is molded by hot press to obtain an abrasive, in which additives are used often. The mixing ratio of graphite fluoride in the form of micro-capsules, abrasive grains and binder of 5-20wt%, 40-90wt% and 5-50wt% may give the most favorable result. Use of this graphite fluoride in the form of micro-capsules gives good compatibility with binder resins or dispersion medium, and consequently the strength of a resultant molding becomes large as well as the coating obtained is thin and uniform as compared with any conventional types of product. |
