PURPOSE:To obtain excellent combustion efficiency and torque extending over the whole operating region by forming a throat section deviating the direction of inflow of a mixture flowing into a cylinder through an air-supply port to an air- supply path in a cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:In the internal-combustion engie with the supercharger in which a compressor 5 driven by a turbine 9 using exhaust gas as a power source is disposed into an air-supply pipe 4, the throat section 21 formed by a crescent- shaped projection 22 integrally formed to the cylinder head 2 is formed to the air-supply path in the cylinder head 2 communicated with the air-supply port 3. Accordingly, said projection 22 can inhibit the blow-over of exhaust gas generated when suction and exhaust valves 13, 14 overlap because the turbine 9 functions as an exhaust resistor on operation at low speed. Combustion efficiency is improved because the throat section 21 deviates the direction of inflow of the mixture flowing into a combustion chamber 12 and generates a swirl and a turbulence in the combustion chamber 12. |
