PURPOSE:To attain excellent color printing on white paper, by controlling the amount of three color inks having a spectral transmitting characteristics with a signal obtained from the three primary color signals. CONSTITUTION:The three chrominance signals, red, green, blue, of a television signal are R,G,B, and the state of 100% saturation of the chrominance signals be (1). The color of inks for thermal transfer paper are yellow, magenta, and cyan and respresent as Y,M,C, respectively. Signals corresponding to the three colors Y,M,C to control thermal print heads are obtained from the relations of Yidentical 1-B, Midentical1-G and Cidentical1-R. Further, the yellow ink has the spectral transmitting characteristics corresponding to the wavelength band of red and green colors. The magenta ink has the spectral transmitting characteristics corresponding to the red and blue wavelength bands. The cyan ink has the spectral transmitting characteristics corresponding to the green and blue wavelength bands. The color printing is attained by using transfer paper having these color ink layers and repeating the printing on white paper three times for each color. |
