<p>The appts. wraps coiled steel sheet for transport. It has a line of paper rolls of different widths so that the width of paper can be selected to match the width of the steel sheet. The paper is unwound onto a horizontal surface above which the coil is supported, and the required length is cut by a mechanism at the end of the housing for the rolls. A winding roller is positioned under the coil from the end position, and driven to wind the paper round the coil. This winding roller is supported on vertical arms suspended from an overhead track with horizontal rails so that it can carry the paper upwards, over the top of the coil and down the other side. The housing also includes a device for smoothing and straightening the paper after it has been unwound.</p> |
