PURPOSE:To increase the number of optical fibers having dissimilar diameters and the degree of freedom in installation position and to improve workability, by contg. the optical fiber of the largest outside diameter in a spacer pipe. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 1 having a dissimilar diameter is fitted and inserted into a spacer pipe 4 having the same outside diameter as the outside diameter of optical fibers 2 having the same diameter. The inside diameter of the pipe 4 is made slightly larger than the outside diameter of the fiber 1. The fibers 1, 2 are pressed in X-Y directions with L-shaped blocks 5 and are arrayed in tight contact with each other in such a way that the optical axes have the same height. The number of the optical fiber having the dissimilar diameter may be optional and may be placed in optional positions not only in the end position. If the optical fiber having the dissimilar diameter is larger in diameter than the optical fibers having the same diameter, the optical fibers having the same diameter are inserted into the pipes 4. |
