<p>At the filter inlet (6) the air current (9) is channelled between a pair of converging, vertical, baffle plates (7 & 8). The air is directed mainly into an opening between two sides (11, 12) of a vertical, dust collecting duct (10) which has a dust outlet (14) at the bottom. The filter is inexpensive, simple to install and maintained and can handle very high flow rates. Pref. the dust collecting duct is in the form of an inverted V (10) having vanes (11, 12) on each branch directing air into the V.
