A bending device for offset printing plates with register holes, consisting of a resting plate (1), with at least one bending beam (17, 18) arranged on one of its two opposite end sides, and a lowerable and raisable bending cage with a holding-down device (4) attached thereto and with a bending strip (5, 6), assigned to the bending beam, as a stop for the bending edges (22) of the printing plate (7) and with positioning pins (26) which are lowerable in the bending region of the printing plate (7) in front of one end side of the resting plate (1) below the resting plane and engage through the register holes in the raised state, wherein the bending beam consists of a folding beam (17) which is arranged below the resting plane of the resting plate, obliquely thereto, so as to be raisable and lowerable in such a way that, in the raised state, it forms a gap with its side surface (23), facing the resting plate (1), to the contact surface (24) of the bending strip (5), to receive the folded-over bending edge (22) of the printing plate (7), and the positioning pins (26) are arranged in a channel (25) between the front of the resting plate (1) and the folding beam (17). <IMAGE>
