摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a shock in case of the changeover of the air-fuel ratio by inhibiting a changeover to a diluted air-fuel ratio until an accelerator is opened when the accelerator is operated on the completion of warming-up in a system in which the air-fuel ratio is controlled by the diluted air-fuel ratio on the completion of warming-up. CONSTITUTION:When the engine is started, a controller 50 decides excess from the temperature of warming-up of the temperature of cooling water by a water-temperature sensor 59, and a fuel injection valve 20 is controlled so that the air-fuel ratio is changed over to a thick air-fuel ratio on the basis of an output from an O2 sensor 60 and engine load obtained from outputs from an airflow meter 15 and a revolution-number sensor 29 when the temperature of cooling water is lower than said warming-up one. When said temperature is higher than said warming-up one, on the other hand, whether or not a throttle valve 24 is under a totally closed state is decided, an accelerator pedal 25 is released when the valve is not brought to said state, and the control of the air-fuel ratio by the diluted air-fuel ratio is inhibited until the throttle valve 24 is totally closed or until engine load is reduced by a fixed quantity. Accordingly, the uncomfortable shock due to the changeover of the air-fuel ratio can be prevented.
