MEASURING CYLINDER FOR DETECTING AMOUNT OF STEEL FIBER MIXED IN CONCRETE SAMPLE

PURPOSE:To detect the mean of the mixing ratio with one measurement by judging from the level of a mutual inductance between primary and secondary coils through a sample. CONSTITUTION:This measuring cylinder is made of material by no means affecting the magnetism. A cylinder body 1 is arranged therein as main body to house a cylindrical sample (a) or a fixed amount of ready-mixed concrete (a') and wound with a primary coil layer 2 as insulating wire and a secondary coil layer 3 insulated therefrom. The primary coil layer 2 is wound on the cylinder in the section width h2 leaving margins h1 10-30% both at the top and bottom of the height (h) of samples (a) and (a') housed in the cylinder 1 and the secondary coil layer 3 is wound thereon in the proper number of turns. When the primary coil layer 2 is connected to an AC power source with the sample housed in the cylindrical body 1, an induced electromotive power proportional to the quantity of mixed steel fiber can be obtained on the side of the secondary coil layer 3.
