PURPOSE:To improve the heat-resistant alkali performance and to lengthen the service life, by weaving union yarn composed of nylon yarn and polyolefin yarn. CONSTITUTION:Nylon and polypropylene yarns, for example, are mixed with the ratio of 50:50 to produce yarn of 50-100 denier to weave a flat cloth with longitudinal and lateral density of 50-100 strings/inch. When employing a separator for alkali cell to assemble an open alkali cell of 10Ah, it is found experimentally that the service life is lengthened when compared with a cell employing a nylon cloth separator. It is also found that the heat-resistant alkali performance is also improved when compared with the nylon cloth. |
