An explosion-proof electrical three-pole switching apparatus, which is encapsulated in a pressure-tight manner, is equipped with three switches that are encapsulated in a pressure-tight manner, in which there are provided two contact points (146, 164; 148, 166) which can be shorted out by means of a contact link (162) and whose stationary contacts (146, 148) are mounted on the connecting tabs (150, 152) which project out of the pressure-tight space and which can be operated by means of a cam shaft (182). In order to simplify production, three recesses which run in the longitudinal direction in a switching apparatus housing (180) are provided, into which the individual switches (122) can be inserted from one end side, and are held therein such that they cannot move. <IMAGE>
