摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the man-hour required for assembling a compressor, by fixing an impeller to a shaft with no use of a screw mechanism by forming a hole at the top of the shaft concentrically with the same, and forcing a large- diameter ball into the hole. CONSTITUTION:In clamping an impeller 1 on a shaft 2, the impeller 1 is at first fitted on the shaft 2, and then a ball 7 is forced into a hole 2a formed at one end of the shaft 2. Here, since the outer diameter of the ball 7 is made slightly greater than the inner diameter of the hole 2a, the outer diameter 2e of the shaft 2 is increased slightly by the ball 7 at its branched section 2d at the top of the shaft 2, so that the shaft 2 is fitted tightly to the hole 2a. At the same time, the impeller 1, a spacer 4 and a thrust collar 3 to be clamped on the shaft 2 are fixed tightly to a stepped part of the shaft 2. Therefore, it is enabled to omit a screw mechanism.
