PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance of a photographic sensitive material by incorporating a specified cyan coupler into at least one silver halide emulsion layer, incorporating also a compd. capable of capturing an oxidized body of a color developing agent but not contributing to the formation of picture image. CONSTITUTION:A cyan coupler expressed by the formula I is incorporated into a silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula, R1 is alkyl or aryl; R2 is H, or alkyl; the sum of C atoms in R1 and R2 is >=10; Z is phenyl group. The cyan coupler is used in a red-sensitive emulsion. Further, a compd. capable of capturing an oxidized body of a color developing agent but not contributing to picture image formation is also incorporated. The compd. is expressed by the formula II, wherein R1 and R2 are H atom, or alkyl group. Since a compd. not contributing to picture image formation is incorporated together with a cyan coupler, the heat resistance and the graininess of the photosensitive material are improved. |
