The invention relates to a drive circuit for luminous indicators having a plurality of luminous elements, preferably for photographic cameras. The aim and object of the invention is to simplify the setting of a desired fundamental brightness of the luminous elements by means of an electronic drive circuit which activates the luminous elements, which despite an identical current feed differ more or less in their light emission per se, with a defined fundamental brightness level. In accordance with the invention, use is made of a programmable memory circuit connected to the luminous elements, into which signals corresponding to the fundamental brightness level of the luminous elements can be input and which can be interrogated as a function of the activation of the luminous elements performed by the measuring circuit.
