PURPOSE:To utilize a titled calculator as a counter, too, by providing a receiving port of a counting signal on a part of an electronic calculator, and constituting so that a signal inputted to this port is utilized as a repeating signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal receiving port 9 is provided on a part of an electronic calculator 1. This receiving port 9 is connected in parallel to an =key 4 for executing a function of a repeating key. Accordingly, an up-counter is set by depressing a clear key 8, depressing a -key 7, depressing ''1'' by use of a registering key 5, depressing a +key 6 and depressing the key 4. After setting in this way, whenever a signal is inputted to the receiving port 9, the signal can be counted. On the other hand, in case when it is desired to use said calculator as a down-counter, necessary numerals are displayed and set in advance on an indicator 3, and when the key is depressed and ''1'' is depressed by use of the key 5, the down-counter is set, and thereafter, a signal applied to the receiving port 9 is counted, and a numerical value displayed on the indicator 3 is subtracted key ''1'' each and displayed. |
