PURPOSE:To reduce the number of memories without loading a processing routine to a command whose use frequency is low, at all times, by loading firmware from a host device, storing it in a memory space in a device, and controlling a device in accordance with it. CONSTITUTION:An interface between a higher rank device and a microprocessor connected to an internal bus 23 is controlled by a communication interface part 11, and a terminal equipment is controlled by firmware loaded in a memory module 13. A program loading state register 17 and a command table 21 are connected to this internal bus 23, a state of a program loaded in the module 13 is held by the register 17, and a command which can be used for the terminal eqiupment is defined by the table 21. In this state, when an instruction is received, a module number is decided by referring to the table 21, a module number of use frequency is detected by referring to a column of the number of times of reference in the register 17, and control is shifted to a processing routine, by which the instruction is executed. |
